KICKING OFF CHRISTMAS: VISIT TO THE TREE FARM

We're kicking off Christmas at our house - here are the cousins wearing their matching tree shirts and grandparents together the day after Thanksgiving.  Wrangling for this picture involved a lot of bribing.

Saturday morning dawned clear and beautiful, and we enjoyed a cinnamon roll breakfast before heading out to the Christmas Tree Farm.  Since everyone was planning on leaving after lunch time, we thought this would be the perfect adventure to squeeze in before everyone left.  And it was.  This might have to be a new Christmas tradition for our family.

There were pig races immediately upon our arrival.

The twins rocked reindeer ears for part of the morning which was pretty much the cutest thing ever.

The petting zoo was a massive hit for all involved.

We went on a hayride through the fields of trees.

We tried to get a family picture.  Lily was complaining about the sun hurting her mouth (because that's totally a thing in her head), so these are pretty hilariously bad.  You win some, you lose some.

We relished Christmas cheer at every turn.

We didn't purchase a tree, because I'm the grinch that prefers the ease of fake trees.  But, we got fudge and an ornament and some greenery.  It was a great trip, and it wore my people out - even better!

I hope your December is off to a great start!
