DISNEY ROUND 3: HIGHS & LOWS

I'm wrapping up our last couple of days at Disney - here are the first couple of posts if you want to catch up!  {Round 1} {Round 2}

Our last two days were each spent with 1/2 a day at Magic Kingdom and 1/2 a day back at our resort, and we were glad to mix it up.  Here are our highs and lows.

High: We kicked off Sunday morning with breakfast in the castle at Cinderella's Royal Table, and amazingly, we were all in high spirits and enjoyed the food and meeting the princesses.  It's such a beautiful restaurant with a charming view into FantasyLand - I LOVED it.

(Violet's poses did not disappoint. 🤣)

High: We had no wait for Enchanted Tales with Belle and spent most of our morning in Adventureland where we all thoroughly enjoyed Dole Whip and taking in some more rides.

Low:  As I knew was going to be the case, the park was filling up very quickly and becoming very crowded.  We made our way out by lunch time, over the heat and the crowds.

High:  We took a nap break and then hit the pool in the afternoon.

Low:  The only low to the pool was that William was terrified of the slide, but he enjoyed being in the water with us once we switched gears.

High:  We rounded out our night with a snack dinner back at our cabin and going to Chip & Dale's Campfire Sing-a-Long.

Low: Having to finish out the Tamiflu even though kiddos all felt great.

Low:  Being at Disney World and our kids still wanting to play on phones anytime we took transportation.  I fought this and won some and lost some.

High:  We had a final slow morning before heading over to the Grand Floridian for brunch.  It is SO BEAUTIFUL.

High: Brunch at 1900 Park Fare was delicious (the Strawberry Soup!) and fun with totally different characters to meet.

Low:  We made AT LEAST five trips to the bathroom during this meal.  And it always seemed to be close to when a character was set to stop by our table, so we were sprinting to and fro to make it back in time.  Also - there was a bowl of gummy bears on the buffet, because DisneyWorld, and I said the kids could get some, not realizing just HOW MANY they would come back with.  We ended up taking To-Go cups of gummy bears, which is exactly what you need to leave brunch with. 🤦🏻‍♀️

High:  We headed to the Magic Kingdom for one last day of fun.  We spent most of our time in Tomorrowland and super enjoyed getting prime parade seats.

Low:  Everyone was pretty tired at this point in the trip, and most children were melting a bit by dinnertime.

High:  Dinner at Columbia Harbor House served as a nice reset, and we stayed to enjoy the fireworks on our last night.  I ALWAYS cry at DisneyWorld fireworks, and this was no exception.

I'll do one last post to wrap everything up.  Our trip home was definitely a low - we had rain delays where we sat on the runway for what seemed to be all of time.  And then we came home to days and days of rain.  But - we made it, and slowly, but surely, we are climbing out of the Disney fog.  I'm so thankful for the sweet time we got to share as a family and the treasured memories.
