Anniversary. Where Did Seven Years Go?

Today is the day after tax day, also known as our wedding anniversary.  Everyone told us we would always be able to remember it because of that, and you know what?  They were right.  Except, this year, our anniversary has been sneaky.  It seems to have been lurking and hiding and then jumped out at us at the last possible moment.  At least, that is what it feels like.  We are in a bit of a whirlwind of preparation right now for a big adventure - the kind I would only embark upon with you - John, husband, best friend, love of my life.
Last year, I posted pics from our wedding day (you can see them here).  This year, I think I will post this picture from littlest sister's wedding back in January.  Tragedy that it took this long to post this picture, cause it is a goodie.

Man, we are animals on the dance floor.  But seriously, how much fun does it look like we are having?  It was a lot.  John doesn't even really like dancing at weddings, but does it for me, which is so kind of him.  Clearly, I enjoy it.
I'm so thankful that seven years in, we are having more fun than ever.  I'm thankful that adding children and mayhem has served to draw us together and to the Lord, instead of apart.  I'm thankful that our story is full of joy and pain, because it is real and authentic and we see each other.  We really see each other, and I am so grateful to see and be seen.  To love and be loved.  Thank you, John, for an amazing seven years - I marvel to see the way God has worked in and through us because of each other.
Tonight, we are going to watch Titanic in 3D at the theater, because we need a little escapism.  Nothing like a 3 hour love story/shipwreck circa 1997 to say "Happy Anniversary."

Congratulations, you two! There is nothing more amazing or fulfilling or enjoyable than a marriage that has God's hand all over it and in it. And it really does just keep getting better!
