HALLOWEEN 2015

Another Halloween has come and gone.  Lily and Bella think Halloween is about the most fun thing that has ever happened, and they were wound up ALL. DAY. LONG.  I must say that Halloween falling on a Saturday and on Daylight Savings Time feels serendipitous.  I dressed my Lego Blockade earlier in the day, because I knew I would never get pictures at the party.  William was about as delighted to be in his Lego as he was when I initially tried it on him.  I fed him Skittles li-tra-ley the entire time he was in the box.  But I got my pictures, and I am glad about that.

I don't think William would have been happy in any costume this year.  He's sort of living a grumpy streak, and he rocked a scowl most of the night.  Until he realized that people gave out candy at all the houses.  That frown turned upside down.

The girls and I decorated for the party and hastily carved pumpkins this afternoon.  Like, I carved two pumpkins in about 20 minutes.  They look like it, but it was what the girls wanted - they drew faces on for me to carve.

We hosted our D-Group plus a couple other families at our house for dinner and trick-or-treating fun. It was 27 kiddos, and honestly, they had a great time!  I love friends that are like family, and it was a family get together.

We did a hay ride while trick-or-treating which was a definite hit!

We rounded out the night handing out candy, which the twins especially loved!  Violet blew kisses as trick-or-treaters left our house.  See how happy William is with the candy?
