{Wrapping Up Rwanda}

With great expectation, we are taking off on a family adventure heading to Rwanda.  Two years ago, a Rwandan pastor, his wife and four children all spent a year in the US attending a church planting residency that our church provides.  Joel and Annie were in our small group all year, and we got to know and love them during their time in Little Rock.  They have since moved back to Rwanda to continue their work at their church, Divine Destiny in Kigali, Rwanda.

And we, along with our dear friends and their children, are now all winging our way to Africa.  We are traveling with one 10 year old, two 8 year olds, two 6 year olds and three 4 year olds.  I’m writing this from our first flight, and I can say for certain that flying with William and Violet has major highs and lows.  My tolerance for whining is already waning, and we haven’t even left the country yet. 😳🤣😜

That said, we are so very excited for what lays ahead.  John and I LOVE traveling, and we love seeing friends in their home environment.  We are so looking forward to seeing more of what Joel and Annie do with Divine Destiny.  We are also going to visit our sponsored girls with Africa New Life, which will be amazing!

Stepping out on a trip like this always stretches my faith and reminds me how much we need to depend on the Lord.  It takes us out of our normal routine in a major way and broadens the way we see the world and people and God.  I am so excited for our kiddos to experience Rwanda!

If you think of us, we would appreciate your prayers for safe, smooth travel and an experience that shows us more of who God is.
