We headed out Sunday afternoon on one of the first "cooler" (still warmish) days of the fall. Grandma and Grandpa joined us, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. We always visit Schaeffer's and Collins out in Mayflower, and each year they add new fun!
(It bears noting that my children were less than cooperative for group photos 🤣🤣🤣)
(Also, sometimes I only have a certain amount of energy to fight this, and on this particular day, I just didn't care enough to try harder, so we got what we got. A fairly good representation of how it usually feels.)
The big hits for us were the petting zoo,
the giant slides,
the pony rides,
(He was SO excited on a mini-pony, like Lil' Sebastian, and Violet was as regal as a queen.)
this new duck water pump thing that the kids never wanted to leave,
and, of course, the hayride and actual patch.
We also loved the train ride around the sunflower field!
We left with a few more pumpkins to carve and decorate with, which always feels like a win. 🎃
The pumpkin patch is run by a sweet family that remembers us every year. We became memorable when we brought a 4 day old to the patch in 2010 - the youngest baby they had ever had there. 😳 When we showed up a few years later with infant twins, we became forever seared in their brains. 😂 I love this little walk down pumpkin patch memory lane - and I'm thankful to add another year to it.
