STATE FAIR FUN

October usually is just crammed full of activity.  In my perfect world, the fair would not arrive in October when so many other things are in full swing, but we decided to hit it up to celebrate Bella's birthday since we weren't able to go to a special birthday dinner due to work stuff.  The weather was fall perfection, and we enjoyed our time as a family!

We hit up all the usual favorites - the petting zoo, the cattle barn and the bunny barn.

(watching someone do a massive drop all swearing we would never do it! 😳)

We did let the kiddos play ONE game.  We need more stuffed animals like we need holes in our heads, but they were SO excited to pluck rubber duckies out of the water only to set them right back in.

The real excitement came with the rides portion of our day.

We didn't partake of much fair food. #foodallergiessuck
But, everyone thoroughly enjoyed cotton candy.

This was not the most restful way to spend a Sunday afternoon, but our children were mostly delighted, and I'm so thankful for the sweet moments together.

The fair will be in town for another week, and it really is a lot of fun!
