HALLOWEEN 2019

Halloween 2019 is in the books, and it was a good one!  Here is what I cooked up with the kids costume wise - we dressed as Disney's Descendants from the hit made for TV movies that we devoured this summer.



If you aren't familiar with these characters, then you must not have any 7-12 year olds living in your home.  Since my kiddos have plenty of attitude, this was a good fit, and who doesn't like rocking a wig?  As it turns out, my big girls do not like wearing wigs, so these were for the photo only.  In fact, after the picture, Lily immediately wanted to be what she described as her "true self", Waffle Fry.

On Sunday, we headed to our church's Family Fest that is a favorite tradition every year.  The weather was AMAZING, and we had a great time doing trunk or treat and playing games and getting in helicopters.  Just usual stuff. 🤣

I honestly didn't consider that little girls might think I was actually Belle, but it turns out, even though I am MUCH older than that princess, little girls still wanted to say hi and get their picture with me.  It was like my own princess dreams come true.

John is such a good sport, because he had totally forgotten that he even had a costume, and I can tell you that we were a spectacle.  I am perfectly comfortable as a spectacle, and he is not exactly of the same frame of mind.

John and I were Beauty and the Beast, which means that John loves me a lot.

We hosted some of our D-group at our house on actual Halloween.  We had our normal CFA plus everyone brought spooky sides.

Our sweet group is getting older, and picture time is getting easier.

We went trick-or-treating in the freezing cold, which turned out to be a blast for all the kiddos - they especially loved trading candy when it was over.



So thankful to spend time with some of my favorite people.
