And, now, here are the pictures of after.
Those massive street signs were obtained completely legally when John happened upon them being changed out (it is the intersection where our restaurant is) and asked if he could have them. The city workers obliged, and John had them in our storage unit for quite a while. When we started decorating the office, he said he had a little something for it, and then brought in street signs that are over 6 feet long. In truth, I like them quite a bit and think they go perfectly in there.
Here's the view from outside the office, which is just off the entryway of our house.
I love the stuff above John's desk.

Honestly, I just love the little details that all represent little parts of who John is. He did a great job of pulling it all together.
Here are the really old blue prints from a high school in the city he grew up in, Pueblo, CO. We had them framed years ago and have always had them in his "officey" space.

And these are old tools he picked up on our trip to SE Asia.
And a lantern his mom gave him for his spiritual birthday a couple of years ago.
Old travel books we have used and lots of little travel trinkets. It's nice to have a place for them.

Brooklyn Dodgers baseball caps above the door.

Legit Tinkertoys that the girls are only allowed to play with if they are "helping" in the office.
Bottle caps and glasses from our travels.

Old blueprints.

It's a fun workspace and even better with the green! To see more pictures of our house, click here!
