Then, Friday afternoon, John and I headed to the hospital. We got settled in to spend our first night with our babies. Lily and Bella came to say hi, and we enjoyed our time there that evening.
Can we all just agree to agree that hospital sleep is no good? Good, we agree. There are monitors that like to fake you out and beep intermittently. There are other babies crying off in the distance. There are nurses in the hall who have to keep going about their job, though it is the middle of the night. There are strange lights and plastic couches.

On Saturday morning, we saw one of the doctors for the last time and began the lengthy discharge process where we sat and waited and waited. And then - it was time to go home. (Insert a million exclamation points !!!!) The new adventure began yesterday. I can already say that we are sleep deprived, but we are doing well and so thankful to the Lord for his good gifts and for bringing home healthy babies. We are in awe.
