And here is one of my favorite pics of all four kids from the trip where they miraculously are not doing anything bizarre. Enjoy this one, cause it is a rare jewel indeed. However, all the others with the crazy poses are pretty precious, so I can't complain.

Here are the highs and lows of days 3 and 4.
Low: For whatever reason, the first couple of mornings were really rough for some of our kids. We headed to Epcot Friday morning and did stuff in the Land and Future worlds, which meant we did Soarin' and all the Nemo stuff, which should have been a hit. However, we had some tough moments in the midst of it all and barely took any pictures. This one pretty much sums it up. I felt terrible, because we actually ran into several people we knew and were just not at a great place to make conversation. You gotta do what you gotta do.

High: We were able to reset a bit by park-hopping over to Animal Kingdom and started our time there with the Kilimanjaro Safari, which is always a crowd pleaser.

High: Getting to see the World of Pandora, which is truly gorgeous. We watched part of Avatar in preparation for going, and seeing it brought to life was pretty spectacular.

Low: I was fairly meticulous in my planning and got all the reservations and ALMOST all of the fast passes I wanted. I didn't realize ahead of time how difficult it was to get Fast Passes for Flight of Passage, and we did not choose to wait 3 hours in line to ride it, so we missed it this trip. ☹️ Just another reason to go back, because I've heard it is incredible and a great addition to Animal Kingdom.
High: We let the kids run wild for a while in The Boneyard, which they loved. There is just something about free play that makes them so happy - even better than some rides.

Low: We headed straight from the Boneyard to dinner, where we had reservations. We checked in, as normal. We waited. We kept waiting. Our kids started melting down. I started melting down. We sent John back to the hostess to check the wait, and she said it would be a few more minutes. After even more minutes, I went to the hostess to plead our case. She was not super helpful, so I brought the entire family up where we stood by the hostess stand and spoke to each person that came from the back until we were seated. It did not take long after that, but by the time we were seated, we were pretty frazzled.
High: John and I were able to rally, and we all got food and drinks into our system, which helped enormously. We did end up enjoying the meal, and the kids had a great time seeing the characters.
Low: Our kids had mixed responses to "It's Tough to Be a Bug," which John and I have always liked. I guess I didn't realize how scary it could be when bugs say they are coming for you, the entire theater goes dark and "bug spray" is being spewed everywhere. 🤷🏻♀️🤣 Only one kid cried, and she recovered quickly.
High: We had reserved seats at Rivers of Light, and it was SO BEAUTIFUL.
High: After two full days in the parks, we took Saturday morning off and did the playground at our resort and visited the horses.

Low: We had another rough start to our park day (are you sensing the theme yet? 😒), and it took a bit for all of us to enjoy our Princess Storybook Lunch at Akershus in Epcot.
High: The food at Akershus is so good, and in the end, everyone left smiling, which felt like a win.
(Ariel is Violet's favorite! 😍)
High: We finished out Norway by riding Frozen Ever After (so fun!) and meeting Elsa and Anna with no wait. 👊🏻

High: We worked our way around the rest of the World Showcase, which is always one of my favorite things to do. The countries are so well done and fascinating.

High: We left Epcot smiling, which is about the best I could hope for.
Thanks for following along - it truly was one of the best trips! I'll post the last couple of days soon and probably one more post with more details about where we stayed, etc. If you have any specific questions that you'd like to see answered - let me know!
