NORAH'S SIP & SEE

Though many of my friends have largely aged out of having children, we are still getting to have baby showers thanks to the wonder of adoption!  I've said it before, and I'll say it again, if you want a front row seat to seeing God work, get involved in the world of adoption and foster care.  It is messy, heart-breaking and hard, but God shows up time and again and moves on behalf of children who need families.  Right after baby Lizzie's adoption was finalized, Norah was born, and the Livers brought her home a few days later.  Our small group grew by two babies in three weeks!  It was a complete whirlwind, and we got to see God work miracles to get paperwork and policies and people in the right places to make them family.

Last week, as we were trying to figure out when to squeeze in a Sip and See for Norah, we realized that with summer and travel upon us, this Saturday was the only time to do it.  This shower came together in seven days.  😳  We decided to match Norah's nursery decor of black and white stripes + florals, and I super love how it all turned out.  (I will say that a shower like this is only possible to put together in seven days when you have a lot of extremely talented friends. 👊🏻)



You can also see that Marla is extremely well loved, because this is the group of hostesses!



We went with a brunch and may have overdone the food just slightly, but really, can you ever have too much brunch food?  I think not.

I have never actually opened a bottle of champagne, so getting this Sparkle Bar off the ground required a little teamwork. 😂



We ate, drank, talked and watched Marla animatedly open gifts.

Baby Norah, you are so loved and cherished, and we are so thankful to celebrate you being a Livers forever!
