WEEKEND: PARTIES AND RUN WITH LIGHTS

This weekend we have maxed out every second.  Saturday was so chalk full of fun and sugar that I wasn't sure the girls would ever recover.  Jury's still out on that one.

We went to two of the cutest birthday parties ever yesterday.  We started with a Gingerbread Decorating Party for our friend Annette - Morgan did a great job hosting and you can see the cute details on her blog.

Lily and Bella loved decorating their houses - both the edible one and the cardboard one.

Bella attacked her cupcake, which was to be expected.

The bounce house was also a massive hit.

After lunch and short naps, we headed to Will's birthday party hosted by my friend Lindsay.  She doesn't blog, which is a shame, because she threw such a wonderful Lego party that John was asking her to do his 32nd birthday in Lego theme.  He was not joking.

They played "Stick the Head on the Lego Man," and Lily managed to stick her head on the other wall.

We found Bella hugging on one of her friends, and he just stood there pretending like it wasn't happening.  Awesome.

Happy Birthday, Will!

Right after this party, we jumped in the car and headed downtown for the Light Up the Night Run.  It was Christmas chaos, with everyone wearing lights and bells and random Christmasness.

Here the guys are strategizing their run with jogging strollers.  Definitely takes a bit more skill and stamina.

Bella was worn out from all the partying and was asleep by the finish line.

Keri and I hung out with her darling 3 week old while waiting for our men and other children.

We capped off the night by eating at the Flying Fish.  As coincidence would have it, our kids were all dressed in coordinating clothing.  We were not subtle.  People also asked if we were related.

Even the guys were matching after the race - Happy Birthday, Steven!

All in all, it was a Saturday to be remembered!
